EMPOWERING a community.
The Freeport Area Church Cooperative is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide emergency food, clothing, and shelter to those in need in Northwest Illinois and to empower those we serve.
FEEDING THE HUNGRY
Each year the Freeport Area Church Cooperative's Food Pantry serves over 4,000 men, women, and children in northwest Illinois who are in need of emergency food assistance and distributes over 100,000 pounds of food generously donated by our community.
SHELTERING THE HOMELESS
Through our Chicago Avenue Mission emergency shelter for the homeless and our Hope House and Hero House permanent supportive housing programs, FACC serves over 100 men and women who find themselves homeless each year in northwest Illinois.
EMPOWERING THE COMMUNITY
Located in the Third Ward community of Freeport, FACC works to empower its neighborhood through the development of green spaces and neigborhood gardens; neighborhood beautification projects; and neighborhood outreach programs that address community development, public safety, and social justice.
